It’s time to reevaluate Russia’s political future beyond the simplistic duality over a nuclear armageddon or the triumph of liberalism. I do so in Part I of my latest Kyiv Post analysis, which explores the growing role of Russian private armies in Ukraine and what that means for Putin’s political and military future.
Part II of my analysis for the Kyiv Post examines the four likely scenarios of the ensuing relations between Putin, the private armies, and the rest of the world. I address the opportunities and challenges for the West, and why it is prudent to seize the strategic initiative sooner rather than later.
My comments in an article by Joey Fung for the Hong Kong-based publication The Millennial Source (TMS) about Beyonce’s first major concert in years in Dubai, on UAE’s progress in various areas, and on why boycotts of cultural diplomacy events are not the right response to criticism or questions.
My interview with Agence Marocaine de presse (MAP) about the latest EU Parliament resolution on Omar Radi questioning the Moroccan judiciary’s independence as well as Morocco’s statement concerning the re-evaluation of its relationship with the EU, all of this in the midst of the Qatargate corruption scandal.
Azerbaijani Media and South Caucasus Issues
My appearance on Azerbaijani language TV, where I discuss the Kremlin-linked oligarch Ruben Vardanyan’s scheming in Karabakh and the resulting security and humanitarian crisis, as well as a possible 2-year EU observer mission in the South Caucasus.
My comments about how the artificial perpetuation of tensions and imaginary constructs in the South Caucasus by Armenian oligarchs with Russian money is actually damaging to the interests of Armenians.
Will an EU observer mission in the South Caucasus lead to a clash with the Russian peacekeepers stationed in the area? I explore France’s interest in the region and whether a multinational contingent is in Baku’s interests.
Quoted along with various international voices on the issue of Baku’s handling of Armenia’s application to the EU for bringing in a 2-year-long multinational observer mission to the border areas.
My appearance on CBC TV to discuss the attack on the Azerbaijan embassy in Iran and the culpability of the Iranian regime in this organized, planned act of war.
My comments in Azerbaijani media about the attack on the Azerbaijani embassy in Iran and why it had to be a premeditated attack with Iranian regime involvement.

Had a great discussion with Joe Mobley on his show. I discuss the real nature of culture wars, the role of foreign agents, US counterintelligence failures, active measures, big tech, abuse of human rights institutions, corruption, various US foreign policy concerns, and the need for more critical thinking skills training for students. You can also find this podcast on Spotify and Apple, if you want the listen-only option.
