My new op-ed in The Media Line (subsequently republished in The Jerusalem Post) counters the emerging narrative that Netanyahu’s right-wing government is to blame for the deteriorating conditions of the Abraham Accords by addressing the various factors that contributed to the tensions among the members even before Netanyahu returned to the Prime Minister’s office.
My comments in the extensive analysis of Secretary of State Blinken’s visit to Egypt by Yasser Khalil in Annahar Newspaper. I discuss why Egypt is well-positioned to deescalate the ongoing Israeli-Palestinian tensions, and point to the fact that increasing reliance on regional diplomacy versus external mediators points to the increasing MENA integration.
Quoted in a Chinese blog/paper/analysis on India’s economic competition with China and whether the former can overtake Beijing as a global business superpower.
Quoted in Qposts on the subject of a Syrian national Ahmed Simsim who filed a lawsuit against Danish Intelligence from prison after being convicted in Spain for supporting ISIS. Simsim alleged he was an asset for the intelligence and was abandoned. I address Intelligence protocol and explain why this course of action is not likely to end well for Simsim. Some very interesting insights from other voices quoted in this article as well!
Please make sure to read this full report in The Kyiv Independent by Thaisa Semenova who describes in detail the various aspects of the refugee crisis resulting from Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and analyzes prospects for the return of the refugees after the war, with my comments on potential economic incentives & reconstruction ideas for buy-in.
My comments in Sky News Arabia about NATO Secretary-General Stoltenberg’s comments expressing concern about China’s aggression in the South China Sea, alliance with Russia, and the strategic approach by NATO with its international allies to develop a response to Beijing’s confrontational position.

How the “coward culture”—the consequence of cancel culture—got me, and its deleterious impact on journalism
Quoted about US bolstering of naval capabilities in South China Sea in the International Business Times, addressing why US has to walk the walk on the show of strength and not just talk the talk - by making sure that its fleet is in shape to face off China in the event of an actual confrontation.
Truly honored to be quoted extensively in SIGMA’s IGM (Independent Gasoline Marketing), the magazine of America’s leading fuel marketers, January/February 2023 print edition, in the article titled “Economic Recession Woes” by Maura Keller (pages 34-37). I discuss the impact of the recession on oil and gas companies, OPEC decision making process on production cuts, and the impact on the gas pump prices.
Azerbaijani Media and South Caucasus Issues
My comments about the need for a strong response from Baku to Iran regime-backed attack on the Azerbaijani embassy in Tehran to avoid future incidents.
TV and Podcasts
My comments on CBC TV about the series of explosions in Iran following the likely premeditated attack on Azerbaijan embassy in Tehran and why Iran is antagonizing its neighbor.
Check out the amazing discussion that I had on Keith Haney’s podcast Becoming Bridge Builders about Russia’s war on Ukraine, “food security, the energy crisis, global economic impact, human rights and disinformation concerns, US national security interests in all these developments, US-China uncoupling, the role of BigTech, censorship, the rise of surveillance state, and much more. Irina Tsukerman is a human rights and national security lawyer based in New York. She runs a boutique national security law practice. She is a member of the American Bar Association’s Energy and Environment and Science and Technology Committees. She is also a member of the New York City Bar Association’s Middle East and North African Affairs Committee. In addition, Irina Tsukerman is the President of Scarab Rising, Inc., a media and security strategic advisory, and the Editor-in-Chief of The Washington Outsider, a project of Scarab Rising, focused on foreign policy, geopolitics, security, and human rights. Irina hosts The Washington Outsider Report program on The Coalition Radio station.” https://lnkd.in/epi-EeJS
My comments on CBC TV on the international community’s Iran policy in light of the recent attack on the Azerbaijani embassy in Tehran, the recent operation to round up a cell of 39 Iran-backed spies/terrorists in Azerbaijan, and the attempts by Iran to portray the attack as an independent occurrence by a mentally disturbed individual.
